Renovating the house completely means reviewing each space and assessing its chances in the whole spectrum of things. Remodeling involves rethinking materials, colours, layout, and distribution. Therefore, renovation and remodeling can be very challenging and difficult without an expert eye to guide us. In today's before and after tour, we have Mariangel Coghlan, interior architects based in Mexico to help us with the complete renovation of this home. This is a young team which is in tune with the latest in contemporary interior design concepts, and has 80 successful projects on their profile. The result is a style that combines art deco, industrial design, and modern comfort.

We hope you will find some interesting ideas and refreshing inspiration for your home through this before and after tour. Please don't forget to leave us some feedback in the end. Now, let's have a look at this amazing home renovation project shall we?

Before, during, and after…

This image shows the house before, during, and after the renovation. Here we can see the changes leading to the final result. The building has a few openings to the outside, and one of the main purposes is to use natural light sources to the fullest. For this reason the partitions were not demolished, and instead a restructuring of space that includes the functional and practical. Thus, the building grew from a large but poorly distributed house to a home full of life and originality.

After: stylish and chic

After the remodeling, the house looks ultra stylish and chic. The plaster has been removed from the walls to expose the red bricks underneath, giving the space an industrial design style. Trendy furniture and lighting help to spice up the space even more and add a cosy atmosphere to the social heart of the home.

Colour spectrum

A harmonious colour scheme is crucial for both remodeling and for any decoration and interior design. In this case, selecting the colour palette was performed with precision and care, to complement and harmonize each colour value. A wise choice was made in this department, defined by depth, intensity, and warmth. Once the tones were chosen, the next step was to know what will be hegemonic and what complementary.

Texture mixture

A combination of different textures make this living room substantially interesting. The texture of the carpet, sofa, pillow cases and curtains all work together to create a diverse sensual experience. The living room is dominated by a grey colour scheme, with the exception of some extra bright colours such as the fluorescent picture on the wall and the turquoise coat hanger.

Eclectic bathroom

Eclecticism reigns throughout this bathroom. Pictured here, we see the industrial style combined with an impeccable sleek minimalist footprint. In short, a radical use of space creates a pleasant atmosphere, and a comfortable and functional space. Coppery grey details and vintage elements bring their share of luxury to this beautiful bathroom .

Attention to details

We love how a little attention to detail can go a long way. Pictured here, we see a decorative mirror embellishing a lime green wall, coupled with a modern wash basin and faucet with a stylish wrought iron cabinet to hold the sink area and provide storage. Isn't the design simply refreshing?
