Marcotte Style is an interior-design company based in Kapellen (in the Belgian province of Antwerp). Founded by Jean Jacques Soenen, Marcotte Style has ensured quite the stylish reputation for itself by taking on interesting projects and delivering first-class results. This is not only thanks to the firm’s commitment to customer satisfaction, but also its own high-tech woodcraft near Brussels, as well as its furniture factory. These factors all greatly contribute to Marcotte Style enhancing the interiors of villas, residential flats, restaurants, hotels and even embassies in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, and various locations throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

On our viewing menu today is a warm and cosy design that shows just how dedicated these Flemish professionals are to stylish, comfortable, and fully functional interiors.

A dream conservatory

A spacious and clever layout; modern furnishings that are equally comfy and elegant; a world-class view of a picturesque garden; a clean and controlled colour scheme that perfectly enhances the fresh greens streaming in from outside… really, what is not to love about this dashing conservatory?

A perfect cooking space

The warmth and cosiness continue to spread indoors, even here in the heart of the home: the kitchen. True, this style is admittedly more for those with a love for darker designs and finishes, but fortunately a gloomy atmosphere is banished via generous windows and shiny surfaces helping to bounce that incoming light right around the room.

A stunning home office

A home office / study such as this one is surely ideal for working from home. And even more so should one be forced to stay indoors under lockdown, as there’s lots of space and style to be enjoyed here.

Our favourite piece here? It has to be that eye-catching floor lamp (with its deliciously rustic look) styling up the corner right next to the French doors. Now that's a conversation starter if we've ever seen one!

The living room

A lower ceiling can mean a more intimate vibe for a room. However, it can also make a space feel quite cramped if adequate measures are not taken.

Luckily, this living room has no qualms about making these residents (and the occasional guest) feel boxed in thanks to the detailed decor and charming finishes scattered all over.

A hallway with a subtle attitude

Hallways can be one of the most overlooked spaces in any structure. Regarded as 'in-between' zones, hallways and corridors seldom get the style and recognition they deserve.

But not this one. See how it manages to sport only a handful of accessories and furnishings (we simply love that upholstered bench in the corner!) while still enjoying a slight ‘less is more’ vibe? That’s interior decorating and designing done right!

Let’s continue scoping out a few more rooms from this very welcoming family home…
