The project we are presenting to you today is simply fascinating. The house has been designed by the famous architect Filipe Saraiva and is a futuristic dwelling. The designer has founded an atelier known as the Arquitectos. It is a service company in the field of architecture and interior design. The firm was founded in 2001 and is known for providing qualified technological and human resources for the implementation of their strategies. Not only popular throughout Portugal, they're also developing their mark in the international market.
Filipe Saraiva’s Arquitectos is composed of a young team, with dynamism and professional experience allowing them to face the most diverse challenges. With a great sense of responsibility, rigor, determination, and quality, the team comes up with some of the most amazing design structures. The project that we present today is proof of the same. It displays a great sense of innovation, quality, and irreverence. So, if you want to take a virtual tour of the award-winning residence, then read this ideabook till the end.
If you think this photo is standout, imagine the feeling of seeing the house up close! When the Portuguese architect decided to build a modular house quickly, the team made sure that the design is simple. This was the great starting point for this luxurious villa. The house is divided between two floors. It has three bedrooms, four bathrooms, and a large living space located on the ground floor.
In addition to the fantastic architecture, it is impossible to be indifferent to this unique garden. Instead of the traditional turf, they have chosen to fill the garden with shrubs, trees, white stones, and pine bark. This allowed them to create an incredible, natural, and minimalist setting.
A unique design made with love, dedication, and panache can only result in a perfect structure. That is why the FMSi House is popular in the entire world and has been nominated for several international awards. In other words, it is a work of art!
The architect Filipe Saraiva dramatically accentuated the vertical pentagon of the house, by elevating it over a crawling space. Prefabricated concrete slabs are used for the outer walls. However, to improve the material a black pigment was added into the mixture before painting the plates.
The social space that is on the lower floor of this villa, functions as a large open space. It is used to create a connection between the kitchen, living room and the dining area. Besides, the hight of the ceiling has been kept tall, to make the area look even spacious. Its highlight is the natural inflow of sunlight.
The open-plan kitchen is presented in a modern minimalist style, with its straight and simple lines. The wood brings a touch of comfort to the area. To separate the living room and the kitchen, the architect Filipe Saraiva designed a central island. Whereas, the sink, stove, and the workspace have been kept on one side.
From this angle, you can get an idea of how the social space is designed. Besides, you can even see the area where the stairs leading to the upper floor are situated. This is the only entrance to where the private rooms are located. One can also notice the dining area and the large bookcase alongside the wall.
Instead of creating a conventional wine cellar, the designer opted for an artistic approach. The architect Filipe Saraiva imagined and realized his personal project exceptionally well. The wine cellar showcases a design that is completely out of the box. The cellar has glass walls, with an iron structure, giving it an industrial touch. Inside, a wooden wall was set up using wine boxes that are positioned in different ways.
